It is important that you keep the suspect area occupied until the TSCM Specialist arrives to prevent deactivation or removal of any possible electronic eavesdropping devices. If such an eavesdropper "Spy" learns that a TSCM team is about to sweep for bugs they will quickly remove or deactivate their eavesdropping devices and reactivate or re-install them after the sweep has been completed ... thus, no bugs will be found.

  • DO NOT use your office or home phone to talk about your suspicions.
  • DO NOT use your cellular or cordless phone to talk about your suspicions. Your digital cell phone may have been compromised with remote monitoring software.
  • DO NOT discuss your suspicions at the office, in your car or at home.
  • DO NOT purchase a spy shop bug detector.
